From China-Macau on Jan 18, 2017
The vast majority of Macau’s famous nightlife occurs within the casinos or down at the Outer Harbour. Taipa has a vast assortment of restaurants, predominantly of Portuguese origin, where good food and drink can be enjoyed, other than that Taipa’s the majority of action happens at the newly opened Venetian Macau.
Alternatively, there are a few expat style pubs dotted around or well hidden up the intertwining backstreets. Taipa is a beautiful place to take an evening stroll through the village or up Taipa Hequena to see the panoramic views of neighbouring Hong Kong Harbour.

OTT – Old Taipa Tavern
A popular expat bar, the good choice of draft beer and the welcoming atmosphere make sure a lively crowd passes through its doors. Friday and Saturday nights can get busy when resident band Bluecard take to the stage with authentic live pub music, consisting of classic guitar tracks and some ballads. To make more space for dancing the dining tables are pushed back and then the Old Taipa Tavern bursts with energy.

The Macau Jockey Club is surrounded by bars and pubs that punters often frequent after a meeting. The area also has a karaoke bar where you can drown your sorrows or hopefully joys with a chosen number.
